Beli vs Glütty: which one helps you order better?

One knows where your friends ate. The other knows what you'll like.

Finding the restaurant feels like the hard part. Then you sit down, open the menu, and realise it wasn't.

Beli and Glütty both help you eat better. They just disagree about whose opinion counts.

What Beli does well.

Beli is a restaurant list you actually keep. You log places you've been, and instead of giving stars it asks you to compare each new spot with ones you've already ranked. It works out a score from that.

The good part is the social side. You see where your friends are eating, what they loved, and how much your taste overlaps with theirs. If your friends eat well, Beli makes a great shortlist.

What Glütty does differently.

Glütty searches restaurants too, but the results come from your taste, not the crowd's. Tell it what you usually like and dislike and it works out where you'll enjoy eating, even if nobody you know has been.

Then it stays with you at the table. Photograph or upload the menu and every dish comes back in your language, explained, with a picture. Members get a personal match score for each dish, and anything you can't eat gets flagged.

The more you eat, the better it knows you.

Which one should you use?

If you want to keep score and see what your friends rate, use Beli.

If you want to know where you will love eating and what to order once you're there, use Glütty. This matters most abroad, with a cuisine you don't know, or when you have dietary needs. Your friends' favourite spot in Lisbon won't translate the menu for you.

Questions people ask.

Is Glütty a Beli alternative?

Partly. Both help you find restaurants. Beli builds on rankings from you and your friends. Glütty matches places to your taste profile, then helps you order from the menu.

Can I use both?

Yes. Plenty of people will keep their lists in Beli and open Glütty when the menu arrives.

Does Glütty translate menus?

Yes. Photograph or upload any menu and every dish comes back in your language, explained, with a picture. Three scans a month are free.

How much does Glütty cost?

Menu translation is free for three scans a month. Membership is £8.99 a month and adds match scores, taste memory and unlimited scans.

Your first three menu scans each month are free. No sign-up needed to try.
